New
“outdoor living” website launches today
Would
you rather make your garden a place for living than digging?
If so then The GardenZone is the site for you. It’s the
place to go for the perfect sun lounger, water feature,
lighting or al fresco entertainment idea and it goes live
today with a number of products you won’t find in the garden
centres, no matter how much petrol you waste looking.
“The
garden is like an extra room in your house and deserves as
much care and attention.
Exterior
design is finally catching up with interior design and there
is an enormous demand waiting to be satisfied. We like
entertaining friends in style and we just couldn’t find the
‘outdoor living’ accessories that matched up to what we
had inside. Hence the idea for the site”, said Josephine
Hawes, Director.
The
site has several areas:-
On-line
shopping - There
are eight areas to explore within the shop. Quality products
such as stainless steel barbeques from Germany, firepits from
the USA, umbrellas from Italy and water features from
award-winning Chelsea designers are all there. Some products
are bespoke and the site will happily handle your enquiry.
Design
& Find - GardenZone
also offers two exciting services:-
‘Designer
in your Garden’ Need to be inspired? Have a real person visit your garden for a design
consultation.
‘In
Search of the Exotic’
Looking for an unusual, large, jungle or architectural plant?
GardenZone will source it.
Art
– A
showcase that allows you to sit back and enjoy outstanding
works of imagination.
Directory
– If you know who makes what you want or you know what you want but
don’t know where to get it, this part of the site can help.
There’s
also a Magazine containing interviews with garden designers, a ‘style
file’ on up and coming products and a section on where to go
for a relaxing afternoon or weekend break.

Note
for editors
The
GardenZone was formed out of an established garden design
business. At press date it has a growing number of suppliers
and advertisers and a subscriber base of several hundred
generated from the ‘pre-launch’ pages.
