It was a warm, late summer, evening. We were standing on the terrace sipping drinks and shooting the breeze about nothing in particular. Everyone was happy. The sun was setting, the air was filled with the aroma of food gently sizzling, candles flickered on the table. Al fresco. We just knew it was going to be a good night. And it was. It dawned on us that a garden can be so much more than a place where plants flourish. It can, as we now all know, become part of home itself. Then, as part of our homes it becomes part of our lives. More living than digging, someone said. That’s it! Stylish outdoor living. The GardenZone idea was born

Who is behind The GardenZone The GardenZone team is small but, so we like to think, perfectly formed. The team is headed by Josephine Hawes MA MSC.CIM Jo adds that ‘feminine touch’ as well as expertise to the team with a particular flair for sales and marketing, channel development and all things technical having cut her teeth on computational linguistics (automatic translation from one language to another) and Artificial Intelligence. She has an MA an MSc., a teaching qualification and is fluent in a number of languages. Despite the fearsome intellect, Jo is also a fan of the great outdoors. Her vision for the GardenZone is to create a space on the Web where you can get good ideas, buy the right products and have fun, all at the same time. Jo likes to view the great outdoors from the comfort of a well-designed chair, surrounded by beautiful objects and ideally beautiful people too! Her vision for the GardenZone is to make it the gateway to all that is good in stylish outdoor living - a place to come for inspiration, ideas and enjoyment!
